Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must hold a registered Diploma in General Nursing with at least 60% marks, along with Midwifery (for female candidates) or a relevant Post-Basic Specialty diploma (for male candidates). Candidates must also meet the following requirements:

Admission Process
Applications are submitted online through the centralized UHS admission portal.
Candidates are required to upload all necessary documents, pay the prescribed application fee, and select their preferred institutions.
Admissions are granted strictly on merit and preference, in accordance with government policies.
Admissions are processed transparently based on merit, and all selected candidates must comply with institutional and government regulations. Any false information or policy violation can result in cancellation of admission. After completing the program, graduates are required to serve in the public sector for a specified period, contributing their skills to the healthcare system.

Policies
Students are required to fulfill their study credit hours and clinical practice hours as notified by the University of Health Sciences / SHC&ME Department. The fulfillment of requisite attendance in clinical duties along with classes is mandatory in each subject from the student side.
100% of study attendance is desired to be ensured by each student and also comply with the UHS mandatory requirements to appear in the exam.
Total number of permissible leaves are 30 days per annum, inclusive of all public holidays.
All sorts of leaves i.e. medical leave, maternity leave, ex-Pakistan leave etc. will come under the ambit of these permissible 30 leaves during each year of the Post-RN program.
The mid-term examination shall be held in the 9th week of the semester.
The schedule / date sheet of the mid-term examination shall be notified by the Directorate of Student Affairs of the respective institution, two weeks before the commencement of the examination, in accordance with the notified academic calendar.
The candidate shall be required to attempt all the questions given in mid-term examination. There shall be no choice.
Mid-Term Examination shall comprise of only Theory Examination.
The students having minimum of 50% marks in internal assessment of each course will be eligible to appear in final examination.
The students having minimum of 85% attendance per course will be eligible to appear in final examination.
The application for admission to the final examination shall be submitted online.
Hard copy of the application duly attested by the Head / Principal of the respective department / institution along with the evidence for payment of the prescribed fee voucher shall be submitted to the Examinations Department, UHS.
The schedule / date sheet of final examination shall be notified by the UHS Examination Department in accordance with the notified Academic Calendar as approved by the relevant Board of Studies (BOS).
The Examination Department of the University shall hold the final examination.
The final examination of semester shall consist of Theory and Practical Examinations of subject as per the curriculum.
According to Pakistan Nursing and Midwifery Council Rules & Regulations, uniforms will be worn as follows:

Attendance and Punctuality: Regular attendance and punctuality are expected. Unauthorized absences or tardiness may lead to disciplinary action.
Academic Integrity: Plagiarism, cheating, and academic dishonesty will not be tolerated. Consequences may include failing a course or expulsion.
Respect for Others: Students are expected to treat faculty, staff, and peers with respect. Harassment, bullying, or discrimination will not be tolerated.
Classroom Behavior: Students are expected to behave professionally and respectfully in class. Disruptions, phone use, or other distracting behavior may lead to removal from class.
Dress Code: Students are expected to dress modestly and professionally, adhering to the institution's dress code policy.
Use of Facilities: Students are expected to use institution facilities responsibly and respectfully. Damage or misuse of property may result in disciplinary action.
Technology Use: Students are expected to use institution technology responsibly and for academic purposes only. Unauthorized use may lead to disciplinary action.
Regulations
Admissions will be made once a year.
Advertisement will be given by the University of Health Sciences (UHS) in at least two leading national newspapers (one Urdu and one English) after getting approval from the SHC & ME Department.
Nurses applying for admission in Post-R.N. in public sector colleges shall apply for NOC on online portal before applying for admission through their respective institution. NOC shall be mandatory for application submission.
Nurses shall apply for Post-RN on online portal designed by the University of Health Sciences (UHS) under administrative control of SHC&ME Department. Processing fee (non-refundable) of Rs. 2,000/- shall be paid by the candidates. No manual application submitted in any college / university or SHC&ME Department shall be acceptable.
Submitted applications shall be scrutinized by scrutiny committee constituted by the admitting University of Health Sciences (UHS). All academic credentials and experience certificates submitted by applicants shall be duly verified by the admitting university.
UHS shall constitute the Grievance Committee to address the grievances of the candidates.
Selection shall be made on merit-cum-preference basis through Central Induction Process.
No candidate shall claim his / her right of applying if he / she shall not follow timeline of whole induction process.
Final orders of selected candidates shall be issued by SHC&ME Department.
Applications of candidates having any false / fabricated / fake / misrepresented information / documents shall be rejected at any stage and disciplinary proceeding shall be initiated against the concerned applicant.
Admission shall be confirmed by the principal after verification of all required educational documents and experience certificates.
Upon admission the students shall be attached with the respective colleges and clinical duties shall be performed in attached hospitals.
Minimum three days of clinical duties of the students shall be incorporated in duty roster by concerned Nursing Superintendent, and attendance report shall be provided by NS to the Principals of concerned colleges. In case any student is not performing clinical duties, disciplinary action shall be taken against him / her.
The credit hours as per university requirement shall be completed in remaining days of attachment.
100% of attendance is desired to be ensured by each student and also comply with the UHS / affiliating university mandatory requirements to appear in the exam.
A total of 30 days of leave per annum, inclusive of all public holidays, shall be permissible for each student during the Post-RN training programme, and all types of leaves i.e. medical, maternity, ex-Pakistan and any other category shall fall under the ambit of these permissible 30 leaves during each year of Post-RN program.
No candidate shall claim right on securing same place of posting while pursuing the degree program. The transfer / posting policy of the administrative department in this regard shall prevail.
If any misrepresentation, false, fake, or fabricated information, policy violation, or attempt to obtain admission through unfair means is identified at any stage of the program, the admission shall be cancelled with immediate effect. In case of cancellation / termination of training, the student shall be debarred from seeking admission to any course for a period of three years, and the student shall be liable to refund the entire amount / salary received during the program.
Students shall not withdraw from or leave the Post-RN Degree Program prior to its completion, and any student who discontinues or abandons the program before completion shall be debarred from admission for a period of one year, the refundable security deposit shall be forfeited, and the student shall be required to refund the entire amount / salary received during the training period.
During training their conduct will be governed by the rules & regulations of institute in which they got admission in addition to being governed under rules required as regular employees of Government of Punjab.
They will report to the place of posting against where salary is being drawn within one week (07 days) of the completion of the degree program under intimation to the SHC&ME Department. Failing to join back duty in stipulated time period may lead to disciplinary proceedings.
The Admitting Institution will be bound to provide yearly report to the affiliating university / SHC&MED regarding status of admitted students as well as detail of promoted / rusticated / absent / re-admitted or disciplinary proceeded students.
The student nurse shall be bound to serve the public sector for three years after the degree program and shall not apply for EOL / Study leave during those three years. The candidate shall furnish an undertaking to this effect at the time of joining both to the Institution and the department.
The policy shall come into immediate effect.
Hostel Rules
The college provides on-campus hostel accommodation for Post-RN students subject to availability and seniority. Residents are expected to comply with the following general rules and regulations:
Admission & Allotment
Hostel admission is granted for one academic year and is subject to renewal each year.
Allotment is made on merit and on the basis of distance from the home town.
Residents must submit an undertaking from parent / guardian / employer at the time of admission.
Discipline & Conduct
Hostel timings: Entry by 8:00 PM (subject to seasonal change). Late entries require written permission from the Hostel Warden.
Residents must maintain discipline, cleanliness and respectful behaviour at all times.
No outside guests are permitted to stay overnight without prior approval.
Possession or use of any kind of intoxicant, weapon or prohibited item is strictly forbidden.
Visitors & Leave
Visitors are received only in the designated visiting area during permitted hours.
Leave from hostel must be recorded in the movement register and signed by the Warden.
Going home / out-station visits require written consent from parent / guardian.
